My name is Scott McKenzie. I am a musician, bartender, writer, philanthropist, and about a hundred other things. I am also an artist, which is probably why you’re here.

I work with acrylics paints, mostly in abstracts such as poured art, occasionally in impressionism or expressionism. I love to explore curiosity about the world and people around me through my artwork, attempting to experience things in a new way by creating artwork inspired by them. I am particularly fond of developing color palettes based on other senses, such as creating artwork based on songs by breaking them down into their key, chord structures, melodies, and rhythms. I also take every opportunity I can find for collaborative art, whether that be working directly with another artist to explore how our styles and perspectives can blend into something new, or hosting private or public events inviting others to make art with me, tearing down the barrier of entry to becoming an artist by doing the material prep work and giving people the chance to embrace the joy of simply creating.
